You Can’t Predict When Something Bad Could Happen at Your House
I have been talking about home security with many homeowners. I am working to get some insight on the different ways our homes become at risk. One of the things I asked everyone was if they had ever experienced suspicious activity at their home. It could be robbery, broken windows, a suspicious person – whatever. I was surprised that almost everyone had at least one story. Many of their stories led them to install a home alarm system. I have heard that www.DearbornHeightsHomeSecurity.com is a great choice.
One individual informed me that he had been home for the afternoon one day, but then left to pick his son up from baseball practice. After they got back home roughly 20 minutes later, one of the windows on their house was broken and some things were missing inside. He thought he was being watched, and the burglar knew once he left the house. A different mother of 3 said to me that she answered the door for a person who claimed to be a salesperson. After the guy finished speaking, he asked if he could talk it over with her inside. She said no thanks, and he again replied by asking if he could still come inside and use her telephone. Considering he was being persistent, she again declined and closed the door.
We have all had our encounters with shady situations and people. Some are worse than others, like the first man’s experience. The information I am trying to figure out helps me determine what encourages people to buy a burglar alarm. The second woman said she decided to get one the very next day.
I have heard many comparable stories from other people. We never truly know what can happen on a given day. I am certain these people did not wake up that morning assuming something out of the ordinary would happen that day. It really highlights the value in being proactive.
